Sorry to say it was too chilly and windy (Santa Anna winds of 40+ mph) to climb the trail that is adjacent to the parking lot area.While in Death Valley this is a definite sight to see....amazing views of the valley....We entered DV from the east, so this was our first real view and it is spectacular. The road’s winding design, providing stunning panoramic views, is very curvy and fun for a leisurely ride, so it pays to take it slow.
