The menu is not...Sotola Bar & Grill is a newly reopened restaurant with new owners. We ordered bread and it wasn’t cut up. Happened to go the last night they were open because of the Corona Virus so there was already a lack of a crowd. We chose to eat outside on their patio because we wanted to enjoy the sun and view. It’s crowded, and noisy. Firstly, the restaurant enforces the social distancing rule, so my friends and I were able to eat at a safe distance from other parties. Cocktails were delicious! We bring fresh local flavor directly to your table in an environment that’s fun and welcoming but entirely unique to Capitola/Santa Cruz. Will be back for dinner...often! I had the beyond meat burger which I liked very much, my partner had indifferent halibut.

This was a holiday weekend and it’s pretty unbelievable to me that the restaurant would not have planned better knowing how crowded the area gets on holiday weekends. This is def the place to come for celebrations or a cute lunch/date night.

People were spilling out on all restaurant sidewalks due to Covid.

The location and view are nice and the food was very good. The food was good, and we valued the use of local products.Service was terrible. Love the food!As you know I am a sucker for a good margarita, an incredible veiw and a fun bartender! We had a reservation and waited 40 minutes for a table. Sotola isn't big but it's worth a visit. The food was very good. We sat at the outside bar and was attended by the bartender, Ashley.
