Because my child can swim, and I was ‘helicoptering’ over him, I wasn’t concerned, but if you have several kids, or they’re not good swimmers, you might want to consider ‘hawking’ them at the pool.The resort was beautiful but as soon as we got there our pool safe did not work and it took a while for it to function just to break again. I was happy to see it was enforced which kept my stay quiet and peaceful and allowed for some needed rest and relaxation. CONs: The lazy river and water slide looked like they needed some overdue maintenance (obvious cracks/repair jobs in the pool, chipping paint, cracks/repair jobs on the slide), but other than aesthetics, it didn’t affect our day. Enjoy the pool, spa, and amenities at a luxury hotel for the day starting at only $25. Lil' fact but we were impressed with: the cooler tables between the chairs, and safes avail also. Relaxation Cabanas are reserved for adults 21+ only. We spent the day at the Westin Kierland hotel to celebrate a birthday. We had a great day. As a family we had a great time. We loved the lazy river, but since it was 116 degrees out some falling water and/or shade would have been appreciated. My 8-year old really enjoyed the water slide.


afternoon~! It did consume more of our day than we would have liked but they were trying their best to correct it. We planned a staycation on one of the islands in the lazy river and we could not have had a better experience. The ‘lifeguards’ at the water slide were NOT paying attention. A great value for the money ! Nice, new, and clean!
