The excellent everyday steel is easy to sharpen, tough and takes a good edge.

The lockup is very tight and the blade is shaving sharp. A pocketclip with tip-up carry is positioned so the closed knife carries in the pocket with the tip of its blade pointed upwards.



On the tanto, it was less than half locked.



Unfortunately that was not the case. I purchased this knife because i already had a link 1776 and like that version. The 420HC steel composition has excellent corrosion resistance and is a tremendous everyday steel.





Lanyard hole is nice and big. Kershaw knives from Kai USA Ltd. carry a limited warranty for the lifetime of the original owner, except when stated otherwise.

Kershaw designs pocketclips to fit specific knives according to their weight, intended end use, size, style and hardware. I would pay a few bucks more for a version with skeletonized liners. The lockbar butts up against the blade’s backend to prevent closure, and angles or is bent towards the blade tang creating a bias locked position.

I particularly like the pocket clip on this knife, it is not deep carry but it slides on and off your pocket really nicely. The handle is phenomenal.
