You are going to continue walking another 40 yards in and out of the trees until you see a wide-open trail that leads down the hill to the top of the falls. Other’s may find it very dangerous. There are houses, cow and horse pastures and some farming activity and all drainage from these places drain into the stream. Where we crossed was not that close to the edge of the falls.We got to the bottom but we did not get in the water, just the sight fom below and the hike … There are many nicer spots to take a dip.Was beautiful the day I visited. By this stage, you would be level with the falls and you are actually going to hike down the hill to the top of the falls.This hike is quite difficult, has steep and dangerous drop-offs and was very, very slippery. We stepped over the railing of the road and walked behind this green fence. You get to see two runoff streams that allows you to enjoy the beauty of The Garden Isle. It is a really pretty fall. There are several lightly trafficked trails from this point onwards. We knew Kauai had a lot of waterfalls but we couldn’t hike to many.
