I will never come back to the Pineapple Club. The hostess did not tell us to go up to the bar area to order food and drinks and then a server would bring the food and drinks to us.I have no idea why Guerney’s is considered 5 star.
We’re in lobster country, should have something lobster on menu. I had to go in and hunt the manager down.
Our waiter was also helping a huge party but also gave us his undivided attention the whole time and apologized a few times for them being loud.Fog spoiled the view but cheese plate and cocktails were goodFantastic outdoor seating, right on the water. However, once we finalized the order, the oysters were no longer available. My drink was correct, my friend's had to be fixed twice and we had to ask if it was coming back to the table. It really feels like a vacation when you can eat outdoors and enjoy the beautiful water, boats and scenery.Great food and service. Food is good but not exceptional for the price.Servers were not friendly. Run away and go to any other hotel it will be volumes better.Sat right away . I would understand if there was an actual waiter/waitress but that is absolutely absurd, it was over a $20 tip, too. Loved the music, loved the fire pits.It was just ok. Service is great! It was the perfect way to start out our girls trip. Book now at Gurney's Newport Resort - The Lounge & Fire Pit in Newport, RI. I couldn’t even catch up with friends I haven’t seen in years because there was no wait staff, I literally had to wait in line at least 10 people deep for over 15 minutes.
This was my 3rd time at The Lounge, in 2 weeks, and I will for sure be back!Made a reservation for dinner based on their online menu. $23 There was a huge delay for someone to come for a drink order after we were seated even though there were few guests. Delighting locals and visitors alike, Newport's annual events include jazz and folk festivals, regattas, a holiday boat parade, a flower show, and restaurant weeks in spring and fall. My fires were cold and not good. Even with him saying before he left your food will be right out and my colleague will take care of the bill.The Thai calamari was incredible!
